Put your Practice on the Web Help

To create your Web site, just follow the steps below. You can stop at any time and finish later if you wish. Once you have finished, we will publish the site for you. You can update your site as often as you like by coming back to this page and changing the information.

Step 1 - Practice name and specialty (required)
The title of your Web site (e.g. the name of your practice):
Practice specialty in your own words:

Step 2 - Your web address
Your Web site must have its own unique address (Universal Resource Locator, or URL) so that others can find you on the Internet. Your URL will consist of a fixed portion -- provided by WebMD -- and a variable portion -- which you can define. The format for your URL is as follows (the fixed portion is in black and the variable portion is in red):

      www.webmd.com/care/defined-by-you

Thus, if your practice name is the Eastside Medical Group, your URL could be:

      www.webmd.com/care/eastsidemedicalgroup

When you submit your choice for the variable portion of your URL to us, we will check the address for duplicates. If this URL has already been taken, we will ask you to choose another name for the variable portion of your URL.

In the field below, enter your choice for the variable portion of your URL only. Do not enter the fixed portion of the URL, since it cannot be changed. Then click on "Check Availability" and we will let you know within seconds if your URL has been accepted."

  Variable portion of web address:

Step 3 - Choose a style for your Web site

Step 4 - Choose a picture for your Web site
You may include a picture or practice logo as part of your Web site. This image will appear in the upper left hand corner of each page of your Web site. You may choose one of the pictures below or, if you prefer, you may upload a picture of your own. Remember, if you select an image and then decide that you don't like it, you can always come back and change it.

  Select picture:

If you don't wish to use any of the above pictures, and want to use one of your own instead, the file containing the picture must already be on your computer. The picture should be roughly 150x150 pixels in size (about 2 inches square) and must be in GIF or JPG format. When you click the "Browse" button below, you will be prompted to select the file that contains your picture. Once you have located and selected the picture file, click "Attach Selected Picture" to incorporate into your Web site.

 Step 5 - Welcome (required)
